We play live very infrequently. The next one will be for the release of the album, so I really do hope you come, and bring lots of friends. There won't be a huge cover charge, and the other acts will be excellent as well, as will be the music we spin before/between/after the bands. We don't believe in spinning boring, nondescript music in order to make the bands sound good in contrast. Here's the preliminary songlist from my wife and my 20th anniversary party (at Sasha's Wine Bar), not exactly what we ended up with, but mostly. That's what we'll use for the next show: ________________________________ Simon & Garfunkel-Sound of Silence Zombies-She's Not There -Time of the Season MtH-The Moon Upstairs -Ready for Love -Pearl & Roy The Who-Baba O'Reilly -I Can See for Miles -Pictures of Lily The Kinks-Lola Animals-We Gotta Get Out of This Place Void-Oids-Blank Generation Patti Smith-GLORIA Sex Pistols-Holidays in the Sun -Who Killed Bambi The Clash-Remote Control -Complete Control -White Man in a Ham... -City of the Dead -London Calling The Damned-Neat, Neat,Neat -New Rose White Stripes-7 Nation Army Bowie-Suffragette City -Rebel, Rebel Gun Club-Sex Beat Hollies-Carrie Ann -Bus Stop Circle Jerks-Jerks on 45 Raspberries-Go All the Way Black Flag-TV Party Chuck Berry-Johnny B. I absolutely love Tommy James. I can't fault anyone for being overly picky. I am myself, but that playlist is (IMO) some of the best pop, put together with great punk that isn't just drivel, but more like Rock'n Roll revival. --Bryan |

Even listening to it. But the Animals song has a special spot in my mind. Used to be played on every deployment. It also used to be blaring out from speakers in the back of a C130 as we were getting ready to step off into space. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... the memories :-) |

She plays on less than half our songs (to this point), but also plays keyboard live. She was a good friend of our drummer, and one day just happened to mention that she played viola. Who Are You was a natural song to use for a forensics show, but the other Who stuff makes no sense at all. I watch those kind of shows, in spite of the fact that I'm not overfond of cops. There's just not much else even marginally decent on TV. Criminal Minds is the best one, but I'm prejudiced by it having AJ Cook on the cast. --Bryan |
