Hey Bryan, which one are you? Have not seen this before, guess it is
pretty new.
I like YouTube, lots of fun stuff to see. As for OFF TOPIC- Well you
know this group NEVER has off topic stuff.

I've got fairly normal looking hair these days, and am happily
underemployed as a building custodian. I haven't quit my day job.

I'm the lead vocalist. The show was over a year ago, but I just
posted it today. First thing I've ever put on Youtube.

I've invited folks on the stl.* groups before. We play live very
infrequently. The next one will be for the release of the album, so I
really do hope you come, and bring lots of friends. There won't be a
huge cover charge, and the other acts will be excellent as well, as
will be the music we spin before/between/after the bands. We don't
believe in spinning boring, nondescript music in order to make the
bands sound good in contrast. Here's the preliminary songlist from my
wife and my 20th anniversary party (at Sasha's Wine Bar), not exactly
what we ended up with, but mostly. That's what we'll use for the next
show:

Really? None of the others? Not The Who? None of the other 60s
stuff? I absolutely love Tommy James. I can't fault anyone for being
overly picky. I am myself, but that playlist is (IMO) some of the
best pop, put together with great punk that isn't just drivel, but
more like Rock'n Roll revival.

Music, after I stopped playing, was never as big a part of my life. Even
listening to it.

But the Animals song has a special spot in my mind. Used to be played on
every deployment.
It also used to be blaring out from speakers in the back of a C130 as we
were getting ready to step off into space.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... the memories :-)

You know, when I read this, the first thing I thought of was
Apocalypse Now.

Good Morning Baba O'Reilly.

I think it would be a real kick at a backyard BBQ! I love it when

My reaction was that you were pretty eclectic. Are you putting your
own head banging spin on them or are you doing them "in the style of"?

No, you misunderstood. We don't cover those songs (or any others).
We play them on the stereo before/between/after the bands.

Oh, if Michael could find a large backyard, promise us a large
turnout, and procure a permit for a loud Rock'n Roll band to perform,
I just bet that I could get the guys to do a free show. I'd love to
play outdoors.

Viola, and she's as smart and funny as she is talented and pretty.
She plays on less than half our songs (to this point), but also plays
keyboard live. She was a good friend of our drummer, and one day just
happened to mention that she played viola. I asked, "YOU PLAY WHAT?"
It was a perfect fit.
Glad you enjoyed the videos

I was taken aback the first time I heard that. Who Are You was a
natural song to use for a forensics show, but the other Who stuff
makes no sense at all.
I watch those kind of shows, in spite of the fact that I'm not
overfond of cops. There's just not much else even marginally decent
on TV. Criminal Minds is the best one, but I'm prejudiced by it
having AJ Cook on the cast.

I watched about 28 seconds of this and all I could think of was a kangaroo
jumping -- LOL.

Nahhh, you've got it all wrong again! Your link is a sequel, "Jackasses in
the Sky"!
(assuming you've seen the movie "Jackass, The Movie." ;-)

Nope, don't watch dickheads who go out to deliberately hurt
themselves/someone else.

Gee? You turned it off? I love the Who, and still expect more of
Rock'n Roll bands than just standing there. That was over the top,
but it was THE WHO!

Ever seen these guys? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2-iwHbnXXo

Now, I'm going to go post that Who video to alt.punk.
