After checking out of the hotel yesterday (took a nice trip to
New Hampshire), I overheard some British (?) tourists commenting on someone's bumper sticker. (in that accent) Got Deer? What is that? Got Deer WHOT? Loses something in the translation! (laughing) I didn't feel like walking over and explaining about the Got Milk? ad campaign and how there are a lot of take offs on that. Somewhere in New England there are some old England types leaf peeping and wondering about that stupid bumper sticker. nancy |

When I visited London a few years ago, I bought a t-shirt that said "mind the gap" on the front. If you have never had the experience of riding the London "tube" system, you will likely find that "mind the gap" meaningless. |
