My family likes Arvid Nordquist mellanrost, which a friend from Sweden introduced to us as a better alternative to Gevalia. It is expensive in the U.S. but ~$3 a half kilo (about a pound) in Sweden. We like it because it is flavorful and smooth, not harsh or bitter. gloria p |

What she failed to mention, however, is that it needs to be properly roasted and consumed fresh. I roasted some of their peaberry just last week. Eight O'Clock Bean. Until recently, it was unavailable in Amarillo, and I
relied on my Michigan daughter to keep me supplied. I checked out their website, but their prices were outrageously high, compared to the store price.
