Suck it up, man, we all have to do stuff we don't want to. He didn't
have to be particularly nice. Just Hi, sign the books, next. No excuse
to be actively hostile towards someone. You can have a tantrum later,
after work.

If he was acting nasty to some uninvited paparazzi, I'd say Good for
him.

Couldn't agree more, Nancy. The public made him what he is; hold off on
being nasty until after the book-signing.

There are worse jobs/tasks he could be doing than greeting people and
signing a bunch of books. I'm sure there are lots of cooks/cookbook authors
just dying to trade places with him.

Yeah, I got tired of my job also. So I quit. Nobody is holding a gun
to the head of these folks, making them take millions of dollars a year
for being a celebrity. I understand that RR makes 4 million a year.

Last I heard it was 6 million. That was before she was on network TV.

I've cleaned toilets for US$2.10 an hour. I am having a particular lack
of sympathy.

I had a job involving a lot of travel. I quit that one, too.

I didn't say I excused it...I was just speculating on how it might
happen that someone gets cranky?

Noticed on the cover of a tabloid magazine while in line at the
grocery store that she's getting a divorce.

And maybe that he hit her, too, or was that another celebrity?
