You're sooo funny -- looking at this recipe, I've had one bottle of karo in
the house (for any emergency recipe) for 10+/- years until I replaced it
(it's there for looks! in my larder - ;-)) I don't buy chocolate chips -
haven't for many years now --; I'd never use or search out prepared
chocolate cookie crusts; but I do have cream -- I think I'll just drink that
straight and forget the recipe. ;-)))

I guess this has paid off in some small way; my yearly diagnostic (not for
cars) showed I was .5 difference in weight (to the good) from last year.
I'm scared to get the results of the cholesterol, though.

<looking innocent and feeling that way too>
Me? Funny?

Actually, I wouldn't use Karo syrup the way it's used in most of the
recipes on that site - but I like many of the concepts and I like the
concept of ice cream pie on a hot day. On the few occasions I've made
one, it had a cookie crust (which was store bought because I was on
vacation and in a rental unit).

The only way I use Karo consistently is in pecan pie - which I'll
probably make for Thanksgiving now that I'm thinking about it.

Rosie

Which reminds me to write down on the list for my next shopping trip, Irish
Whiskey for my coffee with cream - Irish Coffee.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irish_coffee

This article talks about where I first had Irish Coffee at the Buena Vista
in San Francisco. I used to love that place. All visitors to SF should go
there and have one.

I hope I can duplicate it. Yum!

Well, I don't think I'm going to be having any luck finding out that answer
