I do make new ones each year. I only keep one or two a year, which I add to my tree,
and the rest I've always given with gifts. My mom usually wants a half dozen or so!
lol At this point, her tree is decorated with I'd guess about 90% ornaments I made
for her, and 5% ones she's managed to hang onto through 2 fires and God knows how
many moves, and the rest are recent purchases (in the last 10 years).

Strange you should say that. I was making my way into the supermarket
when a teenager (about 15 or 16) came up to me all agitated and asked me
what I thought of her girlfriend standing on the curb smoking. She
said, "tell her, tell her what you think!" The girl was really upset.
My comment, "with all the dangers and the publicity, why on earth are
you stupid enough to smoke?". I'm sure it did no good. Sad.

No kidding, what a coincidence! I understand people who already
smoke for years, it's not easy to quit. But to see someone start now,
knowing what we know, makes you want to give them a good shake.

Frankly, I can't believe teens can afford to smoke anymore, cigarettes
are so expensive now.

Thanks! I think so too. I don't know how I would have gotten through that pregnancy
without him! I was really sick the whole 9 months, and he took very good care of me,
even getting up at 3 am sometimes to make me some macaroni! I knew I had a winner at
that point. ;-)
