Eight generations of inbreeding tends to make people do things like that. Now, go get a can of gasoline and some matches, and make like a Vietnamese monk. |

For bonus points roast the turkey with the giblet packet in place, or, after asking what you should bring, show up a half hour after dinner time with a raw head of broccoli. |

I have used them for years, roasting turkeys, oven pot roast, pork loin, oven stews, etc. What I like most is that they promote browning better than a covered roaster, and the meat is incredibly juicy. One side benefit, although I have a self-cleaning oven, is that they virtually eliminate any spattering of the food/fat onto the oven surfaces. -- Wayne Boatwright Wednesday, November 21st,2007 ¦ A mind is a terrible thing to lose... ¦ |_| _, _ _ | |(_||_)|_)\_| ___ | ._| | |_ _ ,_ |/ , _ . .,_ _ | | |(_|| ||\/_)(_|||/|| |(_| ._| ._| |

I have a theory the bags don't do a darn thing, but following the directions on the box does, at least for those people who don't know how to roast a turkey. |

My mom used to put (store-bought) rolls in the oven to heat and then forget to set the timer. We wound up with burnt rolls every holiday. "Don't forget to set the timer!" became the family holiday joke ![]() Jill |

I thought that you would have volunteered to make home made rolls. You brag so much about your cooking ability, but it seems that you aren't even capable of watching (store bought) rolls for your own Mother? What a witch and bitch you are. No wonder your family won't invite you for holidays. > > Jill the bitch > > |

Needed it to go under the turkey skin... Turkey's in the oven. Brie will go in in 10 minutes. We had the french toast casserole earlier...so good. -- -Gina in Italy http://www.myspace.com/ravenlynne1975 I'm a blogger: http://ravenwolflodge.blogspot.com |

We don't have a microwave, so if I forget to leave butter or cream cheese or something out to soften, I take advantage of my body heat, wash my hands, and squeeze the thing until it's soft. Much faster than waiting for it to soften on its own. Serene |
