I have been thinking about changing my satellite bundles and perhaps picking up the Food Network again, but when I look at the guide and see the programs listed, they are all the same programs that led to my dropping it last year. |

I can't say I ever learned much from the show but I found Emeril hard to dislike even if I could almost see them holding up the cards saying "CLAP". The jazz was the best part even if a bit hokey! It's probably only going to get worse. And so many other channels are doing food programming now. Even our local cable news channel just started doing a new show on Thanksgiving called "Reel Chefs." http://weblogs.cltv.com/news/local/c...to_launch.html They've only done a few restaurants so far, but from what I've seen, I like it more than most of what Food Network has been offering. FN comes with our basic cable package. If it didn't, there would be no way I'd pay for it. Lou |

About the only thing I see that is interesting to me on an on-going basis is the History Channels and alas, I've seen them all. Dish network changed their programming guide and it's frustrating to search thru since they've decided to go on the cheap. Talk about a bunch of dumb-heads changing their pretty-decent guide to the tv guide standard. All this is a shame because I subscribe to Dish 250 and really don't get much of anything. Certainly no movies that I've not seen. Dee Dee |

And what FoodTV seems to be ditching is any show involving cooking. It is all geared towards eating and showcasing eateries that no doubt pay a huge chunk of money to appear on the shows. So I bet they will probably give Rachel the Harpy another show but she'll no doubt be stuffing her face and giggling like a trollop instead of actually cooking something. Not that it matters to me, being overweight myself, but she is really packing on the poundage and I'll bet money she'll be cancelled if she keeps that up. Very vicious those shows. All image. Paul |

A German professor and historian named Lothar Machtan, claims that Hitler was ***, and we watched his documentary on the History Channel. Their noses were glued to the History Channel that day. In fact, they watched it at least twice. Just give teenagers a topic of interest and you will have their complete attention. LOL Becca |
