If there is a reasonable amount of sugar in the recipe you can put the
prunes and sugar into the bowl of a food processor and pulse them.

That, too. :-) I do chopped apricots like that all the time, for
apricot nut bread.

About 4 or 5, since I used them in my bread machine in place of sugar.
