Default Mail Order Foods for Christmas Gifts

While researching something to give to my step mother for the holidays,
always a challenge as she has everything and if she didn't she'd just go
buy it, I found this list on the "Serious Eats" blog. The balsamic
vinegar looks promising....Would you enjoy getting this?

Buy her a bottle of balsamic-wanna-be vinegar for $5 and donate the rest
of the purchase cost for the high buck stuff to a local food shelf.
Unless you MIL wouldn't like that idea.

Aaaaaaaaaack Barb.. you're not being helpful! LOL
This is an elderly (77) woman who now lives alone on the golf course.
Plays tennis 2x week. Golfs. Has a new knee. Might enjoy something she
wouldn't normally get herself? She's earned a little pampering after
taking care of my dad in his last years (RIP Pop!).
I'd get her a boytoy but they'd probably just try to screw me outta my
inheritance, LOL.
Food gifts seem a good idea for someone who doesn't need for anything,
especially more "stuff" y'know?
It is small and compact. Easy to ship. Wine was another option. I often
get her a bottle of good Spanish Sherry.

We do our donations this time of year, but also send foodie gifts.

This year, we're picking some from he

Costco also has decent deals on some foodie gifts and their costs
include shipping/handling.

LOL.. I give you permission to splurge at least once. You don't have to
dust it, feed it or plug it in.

Amazing cruets on the home page! Thanks for the link. I don't have a
Costco membership...yet! They're coming to my city next year. I look
forward to it.

Yeah, I thought of that but just wasn't sure if she does that sort of
thing? I know she gets her hair and nails done weekly, but I don't know
where. She is a type II diabetic and is very careful with her intake yet
enjoys (and cooks) food marvelously. I just thought a real syrupy
balsamic vinegar would be something she'd never buy herself yet enjoy?

Well, my opinion means exactly zero, but I still would say go for it.
Whyever not? She's a foodie, she'll love it.
