Does anyone know what the recipe is for the restaurant style On the
Border salsa? My boyfriend really loves chips and salsa and one of
his favorites is the salsa served in the On the Border restaurant and
for the life of me I can't find a recipe or anything resembling it.
Any suggestions?

Er, that's such a broad question it cannot be answered specifically.
There are way too many recipes and methods to make salsa that it boggles
the mind. Even in the same town with many Mexican/Hispanic restaurants
(anyplace, anywhere), there will be that many recipes (and then some,
too!) for salsa.

When I make my own salsa, I combine canned tomatoes, chopped chili
peppers, onions, many spices and some herbs, and other stuff. It's all
a matter of a "look-feel" and taste. Good luck with your search.

In my first response, I should've also mentioned why not just buy a
quart (or so) of salsa directly from the restaurant? I do that often,
instead of bothering to make my own salsa. Except, I always tend to add
more chopped onions most of the time, for my own personal preference
<g>.

I tried that at my local OTB and was told they had no way to price it so
they couldn't sell it to me. Most chain restaurants don't purchase local
so they would really have no idea of pricing.
