Default PICS: Beer battered Flake, chips, rings and salad

http://s199.photobucket.com/albums/a...007/Flake%202/

Couldn't get a pic of the SO's plate. She saw it, took it, and told me to
'coff.

Seems she was hungry, and it hit the right spot, because she scoffed the
lot, gave me a kiss, slapped my face, and went and got me a glass of some
*really* good red.

Found out later that she has decided that she/we need to 'cut back' after
Xmas and get 'healthy'.

(I think it's because this is the first year that she has eaten Xmas cake
and pudding, and *loved* it!!)

So "flake" is another name for shark? I hadn't heard that. I used to
catch a lot of dogfish sharks as a kid, and I'm just used to calling
them "shark". Anyway, nice looking plate -- I hope I'm invited for
dinner next time I'm down under... ;-)

Thanks for posting the series. Looks really great.
A kiss, a slap and a glass of red sound like foreplay to me. ;-)

Well......... looks like it's going to be happening in the next couple
of days :-)

Not today though. I have a NYE party starting at about 2pm, and the SO
is working, so she won't be home till late.

The Flake was absolutely delicious, hot, moist and tender.

The onion rings were "the best ever" according to my food critic......
but they're playing havoc with me at the moment.

Anyone else have a problem (the next day) with onions?

DH does, at least with red onions. And it's usually the same day. Poor
guy. At least whites and yellows don't seem to affect him...
