Haven't heard from UC yet...but expect to, early next week.

Have you ever been up to Surfas in Culver City? That is a great place
to justify getting some wonderful kitchen stuff. If I get over that
way, I will be making a road trip up there...plus to Penzeys. I can
always justify spending money at Penzeys..I usually drop at least $100
there....

Wanna do a road trip up to Surfas?

You had better bring a lot of money, cause you will be doing a LOT of
justifying.... They have incredible food products too....

And that doesn't even include Penzeys, which now has a store in
Torrance.

I always liked going to that area on either Wednesdays or Saturdays,
as the Santa Monica farmers market is held on those days. Wow. That
is one HUGE farmers market.... It's just a short trip after that, to
Surfas....

See, I can justify too. I figure if I am making a road trip to the LA
area, I might as well hit up all the foodie places while I am
there....

Me too. The Seattle position was filled..so that is out now...

I am also submitted to a position at Paradise Valley Hospital in that
area... I prefer UCSD though. Maybe I will know something early next
week...

To get back on topic, I can think of lots of places in the southern
Cal area where I can justify getting expensive kitchen equipment. Not
just equipment though. There are also some cookbook stores in the LA
area, one of which is well known. Plus, Mimi has her cookbook store
in Santa Clarita.
