They're great after a night of drinking. I like them on crackers with cream cheese. Shempdon claimed sardines were great with butter on dark rye. I tried that with kippers and it was good, but I prefer cream cheese. I will be trying kippers with poached eggs as CC mentioned. Maybe on toasted bread. Lou |

We usually have the eggs on toasted bread... But if you really wanna do the carb thing, boil up some spuds (or used leftover boiled spuds) and pan-fry those in some oil (we use sunflower oil) to go with it.... also yummy... [1] "fresh" = not frozen. -- Cheers Chatty Cathy Seize the moment. Think of all those women on the 'Titanic' who waved off the dessert cart. - Erma Bombeck |

Cruise lines offer a variety of items to please guests who come from other countries; rice, miso soup, broiled tomatoes, beans, kippers, English bacon, English sausages, black pudding, fried bread, etc. Becca |
