[..] May you be seated at an all-you-can-eat buffet where sandwiches of JIF peanut butter and Miracle Whip on Wonder Bread are the only item being served and where Musak is piped in at Blue Oyster Cult levels with the mantra of "I love Miracle Whip" sung to the "Jingle Bell Rock" tune being played... The Ranger -- "You know, I used to think it was awful that life was so unfair. Then I thought, wouldn't it be much worse if life were fair, and all the terrible things that happen to us come because we actually deserve them? So, now I take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe." -+-+-+ Marcus, 'A Late Delivery From Avalon', Babylon 5 |

I'm content with either on a sandwich but if there's a salad with a lot of tomatoes, it has to be Miracle Whip. Mixing the tomato juice and the Miracle Whip creates a sublime salad dressing that I just have to have sometimes. Of course, sometimes I just have to have sex with a porcupine but I don't see how that's relevant here. -- -Jeff B. "Excuse me. I don't mean to impose, but I am the Ocean." ~ The Salton Sea |

There is only Hellman's in our fridge. Miracle Whip is nasty and way
too sweet. |

I can eat commercial mayos but I don't like them very much. I think they have a harshness to the flavor. Miracle Whip tastes more like good homemade mayo. I do make my own on occasion but mainly for special occasions, not to keep around for everyday use. (See, I did not choose MCINL this time! Good homemade mayo doesn't have all that sugar in it! I find MW ghastly because of the sweetness. |

MW tastes like vinegar and sugar emulsified with some gums. Suggest you find a better mayo recipe if your homemade "mayo" tastes like MW... |

Hamburger, with or without mayonnaise. It depends...... If you have tomato and lettuce on the burger it is much better with mayo. |

I like adding a chunk to the middle of the burger, and topping it with provolone. Actually that's what we're having for dinner tonight. Lou |
