There actually was a choice for me since I use Kraft fat-free
mayo!

May you be seated at an all-you-can-eat buffet where sandwiches of
JIF peanut butter and Miracle Whip on Wonder Bread are the only
item being served and where Musak is piped in at Blue Oyster Cult
levels with the mantra of "I love Miracle Whip" sung to the
"Jingle Bell Rock" tune being played...

MCINL. I substitute sour cream or plain yogurt when needed in a recipe for
maintaining consistency if it's required. I can't stand the taste of mayo
or "salad dressing".

If it's fat-free, it isn't mayo, it's a spread or dressing like MW.

There's a place for mayo and there's a place for Miracle Whip. I'm
content with either on a sandwich but if there's a salad with a lot of
tomatoes, it has to be Miracle Whip. Mixing the tomato juice and the
Miracle Whip creates a sublime salad dressing that I just have to have
sometimes.

Of course, sometimes I just have to have sex with a porcupine but I
don't see how that's relevant here.

There is only Hellman's in our fridge. Miracle Whip is nasty and way
too sweet.

I should be the spokesperson for Kraft Miracle
Whip!

I can eat commercial mayos but I don't like
them very much. I think they have a harshness
to the flavor. Miracle Whip tastes more like
good homemade mayo. I do make my own on occasion
but mainly for special occasions, not to keep around
for everyday use.

(See, I did not choose MCINL this time! So there! ;-P)

Good homemade mayo doesn't have all that sugar in it!
I find MW ghastly because of the sweetness.

GFG! Miracle Whip isn't even remotely close to the taste of mayo,
homemade or otherwise. MW tastes like vinegar and sugar emulsified with
some gums. Suggest you find a better mayo recipe if your homemade "mayo"
tastes like MW...

I can't be bothered with a hamburger that doesn't have mayo on it. :-)

It depends...... If you have tomato and lettuce on the burger it is much better
with mayo.

Not as far as I'm concerned! Give me good mustard any time.

I'm bi-partisan; I'll take a bit of both along with some chunky blue cheese
dressing.

I like adding a chunk to the middle of the burger, and topping it with
provolone. Actually that's what we're having for dinner tonight.
