Default Asian food......

A couple of days ago I told the SO that she was going to be taking time
off work and we were going o/s sometime next year.

So we sat down and nutted out a list.

It was between:

New Zealand
Canada
Thailand
New Caledonia (my choice)
Bali
US East Coast
Spain
Portugal
Greece
India
California/Oregon
Singapore

She who decided, slept on it for about 24 hours and informed me this
morning that we are going to Singapore.

I was looking forward to New Caledonia (mainly because I have always
told her that we would get married on a white sandy beach in the Pacific
somewhere), but now I'm excited about Asian food :-)

The hotel we will be staying in has 7 restaurants!!

Thai
Chinese
Japanese
International
Vietnamese
Wine Bar, and
Original Singaporean

But we will be hitting the "hawker centers" :-)

We're going to be there for 2 weeks, so trips up to Thailand/Malaysia
are on the cards as well.

Asian food....... *loving* it!!

(Although she *did* make me promise not to make a repeat performance of
the "Dance of the Flaming Arseholes" in Bugis Street. Seems she thinks
I've slowed down and could possibly get shot this time!! I still think
it's 1975 and I can run like the wind....... oh well :-)

You will travel through the valley of rejection;
you will reside in the land of morning mists...and you will find your
home,
though it will not be where you left it.

Do I get a vote? My first choice is Greece, followed by Bali, then New
Zealand.

Not likely!!! She who decided has already sussed out a competition for
us to enter.....

Seems they have one every year, so about that time next year, you'll
know what we'll be doing :-)

Seems she knows about these shopping 'challenges' from around the
world.... Dubai was also considered, staying at this place.....

I was last there in '75, so it'll be interesting to see the changes.

Thanks for the tip. I'm already compiling a list of things to do, so
Raffles is now on it :-)

Are you not the same Peter Lucas that hooked into Australian posters
and a proven racist
with Terms like Abo, Koons, slopes , chinks and gooks Slant eyed
C*nts and much more . And said the only good one is a dead one.
Now you *say* you are going to Singapore.
Let me know the flight number and Security section of raffles is
pretty switched on as soon as credit card with Lucas appears or you
carry on in Raffles like you do
on certain newsgroups London to A Brick on you will be politely
asked to leave and escorted out the door
