Default A new Joy...at least to me

Today I rotisserated a chicken which isn't abnormal...but I tried using
sweet chile sauce with that chicken as a dipping sauce....I believe they
are a good match and taste very good together. I have a new love; at least
in taste sensations.

I found UFC brand at my grocery store it was more sweet than garlicy and
was of some heat level, but not untolerable.

You have a GOOD grocery store. I still go to the oriental grocery for that.
I need some more of the sweet chili sauce and some more soy sauce this week
when I pick up my veggies (Veg comes in from ATL on Wednesday night; this
place opens at noon on Thursday). Anyone know when Chinese New Year is? I
know that they'll have whole fish that week and I want to make sure that I
don't have anything else planned for dinner that evening!

My mistake -- used properly, Calendar Magic says Feb 7.

Wonderful way. Been doing that ourselves too.

Flying Horse for me. Mae Ploy may be good but this one is low sodium. A
bit milder on the heat scale too which my family prefers ;-(

Curious, what do you think of 'Flying Horse'? We do not have a choice on
having to go low sodium so some of the other higher ones, we have not
tasted.

Look for Datu Puti soy sauce. Ignore that it's lower sodium (you will not
taste that at all) but it's a well true brewed soy.

Yeap, I eat the eyeballs when they are offered to me.....

Hey! I'm married to one of them there blood feriners! We're going to ATL
this weekend so that he can take his oath (citizenship) on Monday. It
frightens me that he's going to be able to vote.........

He's 45 years old and has *never* voted.

OB food: I used 1/2 and 1/2 sweet chili and garlic chili sauce to marinate
a chicken in last night (actually cut them in 1/2s) and it was fantastic.
Basted it a couple of times and they came out really WELL!

Wings are best....more goop on 'em!

Hey! I'll have to try that one then. The Flying Horse brand is 300mg per
TB.

Giggles, I forgot there's a chinese beer of the same name. Naw, this is a
Thailand product and is a sweet chili chicken sauce like Mae Ploy.

Cracks me up.....too true! Actually he's been bitching and moaning for
years. At least now I won't have to hear about how much in taxes they're
taking and how unfair it is taking Social Security if you're not eligible
for it.

Blah, blah, blah blah...............

In the early 1970s, before there were any Thai restaurant in
Boston, I went to one in NYC. There I had some kind of fried
chicken with sweet chile sauce. I recall it was quite good.

I used sweet chile sauce on a 1 pot rice and ham dish tonight and it was
also a good taste fit.
