![]() I've had a new Calphalon stir fry pan for a few weeks now and still haven't used it. Tonight I scrounged around and found a few veggies, a couple of pork loin chops, some soy sauce etc... The pork chops were marinated in hoisin sauce thinned with some soy sauce. http://i25.tinypic.com/2nkk5i.jpg Put the new pan to the fire, heated it up and added a little peanut oil. http://i32.tinypic.com/ac953r.jpg Thinly sliced the pork before stir frying. http://i31.tinypic.com/2gspll3.jpg Once the pork was cooked and removed from the pan, I stir fried some celery, spring onion and carrots. When they were softened a little I added some asparagus and green beans. http://i25.tinypic.com/2zgak5v.jpg When the veggies were crisp done, I added a stir fry sauce made of soy sauce, ginger, sugar, cornstarch, sesame oil and garlic. I also added in the marinade that was left from the pork, and the pork. http://i28.tinypic.com/j5kneg.jpg I wasn't in the mood for rice so I fixed some bean thread vermicelli. http://i26.tinypic.com/rvy3px.jpg It probably isn't "authentic" but it tasted danged good. http://i29.tinypic.com/9rt6ae.jpg It turned out awesome!! http://i25.tinypic.com/xo2yo4.jpg Can't wait to use this pan again, I am really impressed with it. koko --- http://www.kokoscorner.typepad.com updated 1/27 "There is no love more sincere than the love of food" George Bernard Shaw |

Who the hell puts metal handles on what is essentially a wok? At least the $17 wok I got from Ikea has wooden handled and if they wear out, I can replace it with dowels. It amazes me that people will pay top dollar for cookware. Otherwise though the dish looks delicious. |

The handle is removeable....I took it off when I seasoned the wok. Christine |

The riveted attachment and the design of the handle all serve that purpose. Unless you put the pan in the oven, they stay cool. I'm little more disturbed by a non-stick wok. |

This was also the first place I bought a small cleaver from, which I still use almost daily to slice stuff like veggies. -- The house of the burning beet-Alan It'll be a sunny day in August, when the Moon will shine that night- Elbonian Folklore |
