I suspect you are looking for metrics. 113g per stick. 56 per 1/2 stick. 8
tablespoons per stick and a tablespoon is about 14g weight.

Officially, I believe it's 120 grams but since butter is sold here comes in
250 or 500 gram slabs, I just cut a 250 gram slab in half and call that
good.

Many thanks to all those who replied.

I can now get on and make my rum and raisin biscuits (cookies).

Sticks may vary in your country. In the USA, 4 ounces is 113.39 grams. In a
recipe though, a few grams does not matter.

Unlike some others, I checked the stick itself. <g>.

14g per TB, 113g per stick.

There are four sticks in a pound, so 4 oz.

I believe that is an imperial LB, or a metric sales-weight. The 7g wont be
enough to make a major difference but the correct weight for a USA 'stick of
butter' is 113g.

8 TB per stick. 14.125g per TB. That should help with them cookies <g>.
