Default Chocolate Flavored Chocolate

Looks like I just got suckered into buying some of this fake
chocolate stuff. These were a 22oz bag of "solid milk
chocolate", from what used to be a reputable candy company,
individually wrapped valentine hearts marked down to $.75 at the
grocery store.

After eating one, I examined the bag closer: "Milk Chocolate
FLAVORED", made with palm oils and no cocoa butter at all.

Nasty shit. Leaves a bite in the back of the throat a very
unpleasant texture.

So start reading those labels more carefully as manufacturers
slip in more and more of this faux chocolate. Any amount of
non-cocoa oils are 100% fake chocolate.

Well, what do you expect from cheap chocolate, especially for 75 cents...???

Don't hold back... which "reputable candy company" was this?

I often get great deals on holiday M&Ms, Dove bars, etc. the day after
the holiday. I take them to work with me and we all pig out at night.
Chocolate rocks. Fake or bad chocolate doesn't.

It might still be OK for grating (chilled) into vanilla ice cream.

Palmer Candy Company in Pennsylvania. It used to be really
popular when I was a kid in Pittsburgh.

Ugh. The worst! I've never known them to sell any decent chocolate. They
do the cheap, mass market Easter bunnies and stuff for holidays. Waxy,
overly sweet yet totally lacking in chocolate pleasure. I've thought
that for at least 20 years so it isn't a new change of quality, IMO.

Exactly about a year ago Walgreen's here had all their leftover holiday - V
Day premium - brand boxed candy on sale for REALLY cheap. I mean like TWO
boxes of Ghiradelli or Droste or Lindt for like five or so bux. I'll check
today and see if they still have the same deal this year...

I must have bought like a dozen+ boxes, most of which I gave away. I
honestly got so sick of chocolate after that I haven't had it for a year...

I used to like their stuff on occasion -- I'll be sure to read the
ingredients from now on...

Looks to be one of Steve's "trollerzing" posts (or an early April Fool's
joke)...I mean what d'ya expect of a nearly pound - and - a - half bag of
"chocolate" that sells for *75* cents...there's a reason they are dumping
that foetid junk cheap.

Stuff it, asshole. You are such a one-trick old horse. Calling everyone
who ruffles your pee-stained purple panties a "troll" is as tiresome as
you are. Happy Friday, you witless pinhead.

My...what a charming collection of humanity. Love to be a fly on the
wall at a cocktail party after y'all have had a couple of drinks.

You'd have to be a fly - because nobody would ever invite you.

And if there are flies, the party will have to be at Queen Greg's. And I
certainly would not be there.

Vulgar and abusive language directed at other contributors doesn't
make much sense either, eh?

Bless your heart.
