Anyone have any experience with this type of sausage stuffer?

For the price it is just fine and vastly better than using the Kitchen Aid stuffer attachment. Unless you can bolt it to a table you really want to have a helper. It is galvanized steel, not stainless, so is not intended for heavy use, but if you make a batch of sausages every week or two and take care to wash and dry it well it will give long service. I find it useful to wrap several layers of plastic wrap around the plunger to create a better seal and minimize leakage of the sausage meat between the plunger and the body. I have used it with both pork and lamb casings. -- Peter Aitken Remove the crap from my email address before using. |

It's happened with the same guy already. I'm wondering if it's a scam, to avoid selling for 30 bucks. Apparently he/she wants 35 for it. Richard -- "..A census taker once tried to test me. That style sausage stuffer is made in many qualities, the cheaply made ones really suck. That one is a No Name Brand, not even a country of origin given. And those are generally made in the 3lb size, not 5lb size.. so I would suspect it is a cheaply made piece of shit. For a few measly dollars more I'd suggest ordering a brand new one of known heritage... from: http://www.alliedkenco.com http://www.sausagemaker.com My Moulinex electric meat grinder is supplied with a wonderfully efficient sausage stuffing apparatus... don't need any stinkin' push stuffer: http://sasco.edmart.com/cgi-win/catp...xe/SASCO-41901 ---= BOYCOTT FRENCH--GERMAN (belgium) =--- ---= Move UNITED NATIONS To Paris =--- Sheldon ```````````` "Life would be devoid of all meaning were it without tribulation." |

If things heat up at the end, you *could* end up paying more than $35 if you really want it. -- -Barb (www.jamlady.eboard.com updated 10-16-03; check the PickleHats tab, too.) |

Just type in "sausage" as the key work for the search. Ed http://pages.cthome.net/edhome |
