sent letter to oro re food and slime layer forming on bass of
brush--impossible to remove, detergents/peroxide was in washer scrub with
aggressive bruishes
sent note of oxo about how to improve design

got letter saying return it and sorry for experience
nice--i was never unhappy with itr but felt design had flaws

plastic bristles as you well know splatteer and splattering contamination
from brush is a kitchen no no

would never use it in kitchen
using the sponge type apparently has some sort of antibacterial
properties--i wash it frequently
and am reasonably happy with it and would buy another
