That would be nice. If I still lived in NE OH, it wouldn't be too hard to
saunter over to your neck of the woods. :-) Pheonix? Not so likely. :-(

I'm up pretty early on the weekends, too. Can't sleep. But I sometimes
take luxurious naps in the afternoon. :-)

Wayne,

You have to live in a country that observes siesta to NAP!

I have always wished we could siesta in America!

Never experienced it personally.

What I wouldn't give for a shorter alphabet!

You corrected me once before on my Hawaiian, exactly for the same phrase.

I'll never learn! @)

IIRC, the Thai language has 26 vowels. I don't know how many consonants
there are. I'd hate to have to memorize that alphabet and the
pronunciations.

The backwards alphabet field sobriety test must be a heller.

Well at least someone thankfully translated a decent "thai chicken satay"
recipe into English!

I have a good copy.

Wonder how many words you can make out of 13 letters? Hmm...

Are you sure it wasn't an English recipe that was translated into Thai?

True. I understand that was the result of missionaries deciding how
to map Hawaiian words onto a western alphabet, and they
wanted to make it easy to teach. There are probably a lot
of words and pronunciations now lost from the Hawaiian language.
