Default Freezing ham

Well here I go trying again...my first try didn't show up....I have a
Black Forest style precooked ham that is too large for our meal even with
having it again as leftovers. Has anyone tried to freeze this type of ham?
I had some similar sliced deli ham that I froze a few years ago that was
pretty awful after thawing...thanks...Sharon

I've found ham to be pretty watery sometimes after it has been frozen.

My only suggestion would be to vacuum seal it, either with a counter-
top device or one of the HandiVacs made by Reynolds Wrap. Then thaw
it in the package, before opening it.

Or, use it in the dishes you'll eventually use it in before freezing,
and then freeze the completed dish (if a casserole).

If it's a chunk of ham........ freeze it.

Buy when you defrost it, you should only use it for baking.

Whack it in the Weber, and it'll be great.
