Last week, ham and crowder peas on or with rice; tonight, ham and
crowder pea soup with brown rice. I thinned the stuff with a little tomato juice and some canned chicken broth and water. I added a little bit of dehydrated celery flakes and it's all a'simmering right now. Oh, the bread dough is rising and by my mathematically precise calculations, we'll be eating warm bread with the soup. It'll be interesting to see if HWSRN enjoys this evening's soup more than last week's offering. He's so funny; I can always tell when he's not especially enjoying something: He chews and chews and chews and chews before swallowing. He'd be a really crappy poker player. He likes soup, though. -- -Barb, Mother Superior, HOSSSPoJ http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/amytaylor She's had good news! Hurrah! |

I didn't know your first name was Always." He was cute before he got his face bashed in. -- -Barb, Mother Superior, HOSSSPoJ http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/amytaylor She's had good news! Hurrah! |

I'm going to steal it and credit him with each-and- every "fair use." ObFood: Penne pasta with roasted garlic, cauliflower, smoked ham, and goat cheese. The female-units of Clan Ranger unanimously voted down this meal. "Goat cheese smells too much." <sigh> The Ranger |
