I'm, I'm, I'm.... speechless.... you can actually follow that stuff,
yet you sound so - normal. Normal - in a good way, of course.

The UIP site is for people with a little competence, not just for nerds.
If it was for nerds, I wouldn't take the time to explain everything. I'd
just show code.

to be fair, blinky, your site doesn't really talk about passing
through benign gmailers or googlegroupers (and there are fairly many
of them). i think this is what brian is talking about.

Geeks refer to this as "handholding". It's the same with cooking. A recipe
does not include a step-by-step on how to mince an onion or hold a measuring
cup while measuring. Certain skills are assumed. Same with computers. If
Blinky chose to offer this level of instruction, he would. He doesn't. So,
it's the other person's responsibility of obtain the knowledge/skills on his
own. That, or eat at a restaurant/buy a Mac.

Of course it doesn't. I don't support whitelisting. Read the second line
of my sig again.

Different topic -- he's not talking about the level of my instruction
there (although that has been discussed elsewhere); he's talking about me
not also giving instructions for whitelisting certain Gropers. I don't do
the latter, because it's not something I support and recommend.

That's not true. He wants to block all Google Groups users, regardless
of whether they are spammers or not. See his messages about not
whitelisting known good GG users.

understood.

the nfilter f.a.q. page does discuss how to pass some members of a
class and kill the rest.
