Always on the prowl for cool things to do with the youngest kidlette

But seriously, I've been thinking lately about my 6 YO in regards to cooking. He's still too short to use the stovetop. My wife suggested having him do prep, but that involves knives. Last summer, I went camping with our Cub Scout den. I was in charge of the evening meal. so we made "hobo packs". Chicken thighs, assorted veggies, and an array of spices. Each kid made their own pack to their liking. It was a lot of fun for them, and they ate all of their dinners. It was really cute- they were so proud of themselves!! |
