There is no definition. D. came up with the term and everyone glommed
onto it. It really meant, you're part of the "in crowd".... just like
in high school. She was nominated as Head Trollop, so it was a
win-win situation for her.

My personal favorite rfc term is stud muffin (another D. original).

I nominate Wayne and Michael for stud muffins - if they haven't gotten
their frat pins yet.

Even if one doesn't have the commitment to be a full-timer, one can still
exhibit a dollop of trollop from time to time.

What's to 'splain?
From my 'puter's dictionary:
trollop
noun dated or humorous
a woman perceived as sexually disreputable or promiscuous.

Looks like the term has been bandied about here since about 1998.

My mom wouldn't let me be a trollop. Nosiree! Not HER girls! Uh-uh!

My memory might be faulty--and I'm not investing time in looking
through old posts--but I think it originated in response to someone
who used to be a regular poster making a comment about people living
together unmarried. That person then explained no offense was meant
by the comment, and then women started jokingly calling themselves
trollops (maybe starting with Dams).

LOL!

Mom's KNOW! Especially in the day when you minded what other kids were
doing as well as your own. Busybodies have their place in child rearing.

At 18 (and if one continues on her current course, 16!),
they're out the door and on their own!

Of course, MY daughter-units would never be placed in such
situations as Melba's Jammin' sought so it's moot.

Well, we raised two sons also. It's different, but I'm not sure it's
easier. It mostly depends on the kid.

There were lots of level areas. Most kids go through a period of
considerable confusion around 14. The raging hormones kick in, and they
don't know if they are kids or adults (they aren't either one).

Definitely. It's the old "it takes a village" theory, and kids

As I recall it, Damsel's use of the term came about when someone
inquired as to her relationship with Crash -- were they married? And
she said they were not -- something about "living in sin -- a trollop."
It was put out in good humor. And a couple others offered that their
relationships were the same -- long term but without formal papers being
filed in the county courthouse. :-) Others petitioned for the
designation based either on former status or spirit. :-)

Yes, this is how Damsel explained it to me, and what I tried to
explain to Sky.... It is the living in sin part that defines an rfc
trollop..

And now, rfc "trollops" have become part and parcel of rfc lore....
And Damsel was/is the head trollop, cause she was the first to come up
with the idea of being an rfc trollop.

At least this is how I understand it.

Christine
