Boneless, skinless chicken thighs marinated in tangerine juice, nuoc
mam, minced garlic and minced jalapeno. Cooked in a propane smoker.
Smoke provided by wood from last year's basil plants and trimmings
from a lemon verbena plant that survived our mild winter.

Excellent results.

Sounds real tasty, modom. What sides went with the chicken?

Cole slaw made with NOLA-style olive salad, Dijon mustard, garlic, and
lemon juice. Asparagus cooked in homemade beef stock. Baked sweet
potato.

Uh, where've you been, modom? You disappear and then show up without a
'splanation of your absence? Well, I nevah! Hope you've been healthy!

I've been here in Cow Hill all along. Crushing work and generally bad
juju (It's been a season of troubles) kept me away from rfc. Health
is okay. Mood is crummy.

There goes modom with his dick in the dirt.

OBFood: A friend who lives in a coach (looks like a bus to me, but he
swears it's a coach) dropped by yesterday. I made him scallop ceviche
with lime and cilantro oil and avocado. Tonight he's coming back with
pork chops for me to smoke.
