She stopped posted rather suddenly quite a while ago. Is anyone in
contact with her?

She said that they had a couple of medical issues that involved going to
Baltimore, it sounded like things were okay, but that they are busy.

Dee has a lot of favorite people here, but I suspect part of it that she
got tired of all the crap that's been here of late.

Knowing Dee, I doubt if it was any one person. Just the crap that collects
on this group, and has for quite some time.

She is more tech savvy than I am (and maybe you). So, she has
necessary filters for sure. I'm positive the "crap" didn't bother her
at all.

I was worried about her health. Glad to hear she's up and running.
Sounds like she's posting in ngs that are of pointed interest to her.
She bakes bread, makes coffee and buys the latest gadgets. I'm always
amazed what her interests are and the amount she does at her age. I'm
not half as dynamic as she is at this point, so I can only hope I pick
up speed after I retire.

Those are also newsgroups that don't have anywhere near the amount of
flaming, and OT stuff that is here. I rarely see folks calling
people awful names in those groups, if at all.

I am glad to hear she is doing great as well.

I think it did, and I think the change in the general tone and attitude of
some here did not set well with her. But that's just my opinion.

I could probably do that, too, if I were retired and money was of only
moderate consequence. Her husband retired quite early and, apparently,
comfortably. Although there have been some health issues over time,
they've both had the time and resources to follow their interests.

Hell, by the time I've been away from home for ~12 hours on a typical
workday, I not inspired nor have the energy to do a damned thing. My new
piano arrived and was set up, and I've played it exactly once since then.

We did have a good day today, though. We'd been wanting an aquarium, so
went and bought one along with all the equipment and accessories. Brought
it home and set it up. In a week we'll add live plants and fish. The cats
will go crazy!

Precisely my point.

Yes, I think so, as her reply to my post was as enthusiastic and
interesting as ever. I should really sit down and write her a note
tomorrow. We used to do that periodically.

I inherited a 20 gallon or so fish tank from DS when he moved out.
Love it! My fishies know that when they see me, they're going to be
fed.... it's a real LOL the way they congregate.

It's something I've wanted to get back to for a long time. When I was
still in school and living at home, I had over 20 tanks, ranging from 10
gallon to 150 gallon. They occupied most of my parents' family room. This
is going to be fun putting together a community tank. Fish to come to
recognize regular "visitors". I used to have a huge plecostomus (sp)
catfish, that would always come out of hiding and watch me from the front
of the tank.

That must be one hell of an egg. The Chuck Norris of eggs. The big
