Arg! For the past few weeks my ISP's newsfeed has been screwed up.
I can post but I can't get any new headers for this group (or any other, for that matter). What's the name of that inexpensive one that so many of you folks use? Individual.net? If someone could kindly e-mail me and let me know, I'd greatly appreciate it. Hope all are well... :-) -- Jani in WA |

It's about 10 euros (this year, around $14) per year, and they're very reliable. Serene |

If someone could Chatty-Cathy turned me on to http://usenet-news.net/ Newsgroups couldn't be any cheaper, short of free. I paid $3 for 5G of bandwidth. How does that work out? I've been using it for about 3-4 mos, download tens of thousands of headers, read a dozen newgroups, and still have only used 0.015G. I figure that $3 will last a couple years, at the very least. In good conscience, I will say this provider's servers are a little slow on the uptake. I sometimes have to wait 1-2 mins to actually connect and download headers, but it's not real bad and I'm not so impatient I can't put up with an occassional delay for a measly $1.50 yr. Strangely, uploading (posting) is almost always instant. I think it's just heavy traffic, which is not an unreasonable expectation at these prices. nb |

So far, it's lookin' good. -- Blinky Killing all posts from Google Groups The Usenet Improvement Project: http://improve-usenet.org NEW --> Now evaluating a GG-free news feed: http://usenet4all.se |
