I haven't done this work in 8 years, but I would swear an external motor can
use 3.5 per 10 ductwork. I always tried to get the motor outside, because
otherwise the noise gets on people's nerves and they don't use it. I'd
recheck that info.

I hope the neighbor's nerves would be considered.

It's outside their houses too, although putting it inside someone else's
house is an interesting idea. I could convince myself to do that to two or
three here.

I'm not sure where the motor outside actually means (perhaps in the
walls or attic as the duct goes out?) but I know my fan (while noisy)
works because when my husband drives home sometimes he can smell what
I'm cooking outside via the exhaust fan.

Do you have an exhaust fan in the bathroom... maybe he's smelling your
bubble bath water and perfume... that should whet his appetite.
Dinner can wait, why settle for mac n' cheese when he can indulge in
milk fed breast of veal. hehe

(laugh) It's a whole new idea. When my neighbors start with those
bleeping leaf blowers, I can repay them with a half hour of exhaust fan
noise. I could make cabbage or something, just to get my point
across.
