Scrambled eggs with leftover steamed vegetables from dinner mixed in. The
other half of our Friday night bacon wrapped prime rare beef filets, about 6
oz. each, gently reheated in a skillet (got to cook the bacon more crispy!)

Grilled hamburgers (rare).

We awoke at a B&B in San Diego - had some lovely homemade pastries,
orange juice, coffee and melon.

Got home and set about doing some Serious Loafing, which called for
denting the Ben & Jerry's "Phish Food" and later devolved into a few
handsfull of pistachios.

Went to a local eatery and had escargot to start, caesar salad (split
with the DH) and a lovely whitefish lightly done with lemon, butter
and capers. Lovely chardonnay accompanied it with a cappucino to
finish.

Thank you, Wayne! I do too.
I'm finding lately that when I feel under the weather at all, I just don't feel like
eating, and it becomes a chore. Cooking, a different story...it always takes my mind
off things. Funny, isn't it? So what happens is I end up cooking all this good stuff,
then not wanting to eat it :-)
I'm probably doing ribs today, if the rain stays away, and they're one of my
favorites, so hopefully I'll want
to eat when dinner's ready.

I hope you do, too. Since it's a favorite of yours, perhaps you'll be more
likely to want to eat them. I haven't done ribs for a while, and they're
one of my favorites, too.

I saw a relative by marriage who is taking so many pain killing
medications that I'm guessing he can't feel hunger anymore. A few
months ago, we complimented him on losing weight. Not anymore. He
looks more like an addict now.

My SIL is like that. Heck, I used to be like that too. There's
something about cooking and smelling it that fills you up. Hubby is
the main cook & bottle washer now, so the eating is way too easy. LOL

sf
who made both mac & cheese AND chicken tetrazzini today (by request)
but hasn't eaten either

Thankfully, I haven't been throwing up, but I feel like I might, all the time. Today
was a particularly hard day, because this afternoon I had vertigo, which I'm sure you
can guess doesn't do too much for an upset stomach! Between that and the coughing, I
mostly wanted to stay in bed today. I ended up saving the ribs for tomorrow (my
eldest was called in to work today and would have been crushed if we'd had them
without him!), and made chicken on the grill instead. I ate part of a breast and a
piece of watermelon, and a few bites of beans. Now I'm wishing I'd have just had the
watermelon.

I do. I also feel like I'm craving *something*, but I can't figure out what. One day
last week I walked all over the store while I was waiting for my mom, thinking that
if I just looked at everything, I'd figure it out! lol
Unfortunately, whatever it is I'm craving lately, they must not sell it at Von's.
hehe.

When I was throwing up all the time when I was pregnant, the doctor I had with my
daughter told me that when you're sick like that, you should eat anything that sounds
good to you, food-wise. He said not to worry about nutrition, calories, etc, because
if it sounds good to you, you're less likely to throw it up, and plus, a little
something in your stomach for a little while is better than nothing.
