You RAT!

Breakfast - None on the way shopping ( 3 cups of coffee)
Lunch - thought about a Costco Polish but the place was too crowded.
3:00 Snack Dagwood Bologna & American Cheese lettuce & Tomato with Mayo
Dinner - Forgot the Cooks Illustrated Carnitas in the fridge from the day
before and baked a potato, frilled NY Steak (Montreal seasoning) & grilled
zucchini and salad.

Oh yes 2 Johnny Walker Black Rocks with a splash of water.

Fried rice with some bacon and the rest of the beef that didn't go into

Lunch - braunsweiger, onion, lettuce, and mayo sandwich on Russian rye
Dinner - 2 bowls of blistering hot chili, cooled off by a dish of fresh
mango ice cream

I can actually remember this:

Breakfast -- Van's waffle w/ maple syrup

Lunch -- sandwich: turkey, Cowgirl Creamery cheese (nettle-wrapped
brie-like cheese), lettuce, and Sierra Nevada mustard on whole wheat

Afternoon snack -- organic pop-tart ("Nature's Path" brand??)

Dinner -- leftover polenta and leftover chicken simmered with
jarred TJ's unsalted salsa

Late night snack -- "SO" brand soy ice cream, more Cowgirl Creamery
cheese

But there are a lot of days where I would not be able to remember
the answer to such a question.

Breakfast & Lunch were combined...went to Perry's and had 1/2 of a pancake and a
piece of turkey sausage, and a cup of coffee.
Dinner...well, we went out for Mexican at Guadalajara in Old Town. I had a glass of
ice water (actually 3) and some chips and guac & salsa. I ordered a quesadilla, but
it was terrible, so I sent it back, and nothing else appealed to me. Oh, I did eat 2
bits of my husband's chicken enchilada too.
Dessert was kiwi, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries.

Ask me about the day before yesterday, and your guess is as good as mine! :-)

A 4" square slice of pizza with mushrooms, fresh tomatoes and black olives,
A piadina with mozzarella, speck and slivers of pickled jalapeno, some
chicken picked off wings I made broth from.

Yesterday, for breakfast I munched on trail mix, lunch a
bowl of yogurt with almond and craisins, dinner, pizza with
garlic and some fresh tomatoes. Snacks in between.

Day before, breakfast/lunch, a *really* nice omelets at Perkins
(green peppers, onion, celery and bacon) which came with
hash browns and toast. Crazy, I don't know how they do it for
some $7.50. Dinner, this is getting harder. Ah! Roast chicken
(came out great, it was rubbed with some mix out of the
America's Test Kitchen cookbook).

Well, nancy obviously wins in the memory category, but trail mix is for
squirrels and chipmunks!

I haven't had breakfast yet, but will probably just have toast.

For dinner last night, we had soup. I made chicken stock from saved
chicken bones, then added onions, galangal, garlic, carrots, green
beans, shrimp, fish balls, fish sauce, sambal oelek, soy sauce, bean
sprouts, scallions, miso, and cilantro. I poured the soup over thin
rice noodles. It was pretty yummy.

OMG! The pork chops sound divine. And the mayo--is that just Mayo
enhanced with Sriracha sauce? I must be retarded, but I don't think I
tried that in my attempt to make a nice spicy mayo.

Trying to decide what to make for dinner. I've got salad stuff in
the fridge, and some tortilla chips. Maybe I'll make taco salad or
something.

Hmm.

Yesterday I had leftover pizza for brunch, then went down to the Inner
Harbor in Baltimore and checked into the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel for a
long-awaited, much-needed "Mommy's time-out" (a birthday present from
hubby). I ordered room service last night and had filet mignon, asparagus,
greens, roasted fingerling potatoes, creme brulee, and a couple glasses of
cab. Pretty darn tasty. This morning, before checking out, I again ordered
room service and had a "Baltimore Eggs Benedict" (two poached eggs,
crabmeat, sliced tomatoes, spinach, and hollandaise, served on a large slab
of ciabatta), breakfast potatoes, and coffee. After all that decadent
dining, I don't feel like eating for at least a couple of days... (I'm going
to marinate some chicken breasts and grill 'em for dinner tonight anyway.)

Went to a college graduation party yesterday. They catered in tons of
bbq brisket, chicken & country style ribs, served with sides like
potato salad. The whole afternoon and into the evening was one big
meal spent munching, talking and drinking (for medicinal reasons, of
course).

I met Orlando Cepeda (baseball hall of famer) and his son there.

If you weren't married, I'd marry you in a Baltimore minute! (How long does
that take?) Faster than a New York minute?

And we want you here. Totally. :-)

ObFood: Lunch was store-bought pierogies in garlic cream sauce (made
from some of the previously-frozen white sauce I posted about), with
an apple on the side. On paper plates, because we're moving
furniture and cleaning up a storm today in anticipation of the new
computers, so I don't want to end up with a bunch of dishes.

We're going to Carin's dad's for Memorial Day. We're taking all the

Should be "basil wood smoked above." But I guess you figured that out
already.

Yes, the mayo was spiked with Sriracha sauce. I also added chopped
green onions and a little lime juice.

Well, it still got me salivating. Had to have a nice Japanese dinner
after that!

You know, *I* couldn't remember what I ate for brekky yesterday. Lunch
was a veggie omelet and home fries. Dinner was... granola. Didn't
need much after the big omelet earlier.

My daughter isn't into Mexican (or "Mexican") food, alas. We do eat a
lot of Asian food though....

It's been long enough I don't remember when I got sick! lol
It is a struggle to eat, and if it wasn't for my husband, I'd probably skip it
altogether.

I can certainlly understand that. There was a period when about all I
could manage to eat was drinking soup out of a cup, and I wasn't even
thrilled with that. I'm finally able to eat "normally" again though. I
hope this ends for you soon, Kimberly.
