Sorry but that service is not run by a government or equal. It is a
private server, hence no censoring can be done.

Just read your headers. You're the controlling, no-life asswipe who wrote
the TOS of this asinine server.

Well, good for you. Happily, there are much better alternatives. Even free
alternatives.

It's a private, censoring server. Usenet is all about free speech, not your
juvenile opinions on what should or should not be posted to Usenet.

You'd much more likely be happy in moderated groups. People who attempt to
control Usenet usually do not end up happy.

Trust me on that.

Censorship is a governmental thing. A private news server is not
a branch of government.

So, for the record, you favor spam. It's "free speech", after all.

Free speech is a government thing. Not censorship. Newspaper editors
censor copy all the time.

What this loonie doesn't realise is we can use our killfiles and not see him

That's not censorship. It's editing, certainly. But a newspaper can't
censor.

Of course I do, and I do so in both readers as well as others. Follow the
UIP link in my sig, and select Xnews/Pan/whatever from the menu.

Drives, schmives. You only need to take the exe file out of the
distribution zip, and replace your current xnews.exe with it. Read this:

Well, he's right that people steal Usenet groups and slap them into web
gateways to make money. Similarly, people mug little old ladies. That
doesn't make either the right thing to do.

You define "spam" as anything you don't want to see. Like all posts via
Google Groups. It's asinine, exclusionist, juvenile, and stooooopid. Period.

Sure they can, they decide what they prefer not to print. You don't
like that example, Warren Jeffs and his pals certainly censor what their
people can read. There are lots of examples.

And that's not inherently censorship.

Governments censor.

I don't know or care who Warren Jeffs is, but unless he's editing under
the authority of government, he's not censoring.

I suppose you don't have any locks on your doors. I do. I will choose
who I wish interaction with, online and offline.

The *right* to association is not a demand for association.

My point was, in a venue where free communication is rather the point
(Usenet) an nntp that tells you that you can have your posting privileges
revoked for disagreeing in Usenet is not very useful.

The assumption underlying your killfiling ALL people posting from Google

Hmmm? What is the reason you do not want to read ANY posts from Google

I wasn't disagreeing with you. I was debating the meaning of the
word censor.

Clear enough? Of course, you don't *get* it; but it should be clear
enough.

I've never been bashful about explaining my reasons. Hell, I created a
whole web site about the issue, and the link is never further away than
my sig. So why do I have to reinvent the wheel for you here? You know
how to read websites, right? So no more hand-holding. Follow the link
if you wish to become educated. Blinky out -- on this topic, as far as

I know the reason, and so do you. You give new meaning to the
characterization
of sharks as prehistoric creatures.

The "watering down of Usenet," as though Usenet is some precious pool
instead
of the cesspool it has always been.

What a steaming crock of horseshit. You're an assbackwards elitist, yet
another
person trying to elevate himself by denigrating others according to your
prejudices.
Blecch.

You suck, Blinky. It would be bad enough without your being so damned
pleased
with your suckyass self.

People are sloppy. Analogous to what you're talking about are the people
who, if I said, "I don't like people from South Dakota", would call me
"racist" when that's not a racial statment. It's easy to cry "censorship"
and "racism"; but it's only *meaninful* if you know what the two *are*.

I wonder how much more time - if any - Blinky (or anyone) will be willing to
waste on you after your above bi - polar l'il diatribe...

It's no wonder blake and Ophelia are just about your only comrades here...

"Birds of a feather" and such - like...but do carry on, I've not had so much
fun since seeing Mothra Hughes' and Sheryl Rosen's melt downs.

I'm not agreeing that only government can censor. Religions have
certainly been known to practice censorship to their followers. Just
for giggles I googled censorship, they mention corporate censorship
and other media censorship.

The right to freedom of speech, that's another matter.

This is Usenet, not a social club, you fetid waste of air. I read, I post, I
really don't get that emotionally involved.

I also *drive* which is something else that is apparently beyond you.

Here's a clue for you, gasbag: calling a steaming crock of shit a steaming
crock of shit does not amount to a "meltdown." "Blinky knows damned
well his whole Google Groups fetish is juvenile. He's just airing stupid
prejudices like a status seeking high-school kid. Unnbecoming as hell
in a man of any age, but particularly of his age.

Perfectly nice, interesting, intelligent people post via Google Groups
all the time. To suggest that using Usenet only for Usenet access is
some sort of ****ing feather-in-one's-cap is just stupid.

It annoys me to see otherwise intelligent people deposit turds like this
on the screen.

Speaking of which:

*flush*~ ~ ~

oops, there goes another middle-aged Queen

lalalala LA.

No. Since you have other channels to publish your work.
