This is an ingredient in a carrot, peanut butter soup. It calls for
4 med carrots 4 c chicken bouillon 1/2 c peanut butter1/4 tsp asafoetida 1 tbsp curry powder salt and pepper to taste What does it add to the soup? Is there something to use in it's place? Thanks for the help....Sharon |

I mostly hear of asafoetida being used to decrease certain aftereffects of eating beand, so I'd have no problem leaving it out of the OP's recipe. Actually, I don't like cooking such things with peanut butter, but that's another story. -- Jean B. -- Jean B. |

What are the directions for processing it. Do you dice the carrots, or are they blended? |
