Without them growing to adulthood, conservatives would never be

i'm not saying there aren't any good-looking ones, but most folks'

great cyber is.

I think I've kind of ruined any opportunity I may have had to crow about my
lovely Italian leather shoes and boots.

I can tell you this: when I was in France, the French though I was English.
Of course, the French hate the English, so this was not really a good thing.

(All the Germans and Americans were in sweats or jeans and t-shirts and
running shoes. It was like a uniform. Also, they tended to be large, both
tall and obese.)

The one thing that really makes "cybercat" look bad is that she'll attack
people and then claim it was "just a joke", offer to "make up", etc...

Very immature IMNSHO, doesn't say a whole lot for her "character"...

But then she's stated that she's just a troll anyways, so no big surprise...

Actually, no. A few nice things, preferably beautiful in an understated way,
that function well, feel nice, and suit me, worn until they begin to fall
apart. I pay
way too much for a pair of boots then have them resoled until my little toe
begins
poking through the top leather. I only buy what I really, really love, and I
don't see many things I really love. And there are so many things I would
rather spend money on than clothes. Like books. And travel.

As I told my cousin recently while we were discussing the family history,
"We have all the trappings of nobility except the money and the breeding."

Wimmen seem to have preferences. Louise went through a bunch of them
until she got a Coach. It's all she uses now. Too bad cyberluzer
can't afford one. They are nice.

The guy from Nice who told me that most French fellows probably thought
I was English said it was okay, as I was " tres sympatico." I thought it
meant
sympathetic until I looked it up.

There was also guy in Sienna who kept popping up around every other
corner, saying something to me about "camera." I thought he wanted me
to take his picture until I looked the word up and found it meant "room."

P.S.--Thanks so much, Ms. O!

Nancy.... that is *so true*! My kids got me an expensive purse for my
b'day, which I still don't like (too big and too black). You can't
win for losing over such personal items! However, I'm not completely
unpleaseable, they *can* buy me perfume. DD hit the lottery on that
one year.

I don't use those either. I have too many sitting in my wallet,
and most are several years old.

I remember when Coach bags were literally cheap. They looked nice and
I could afford them as a high school/college kid.

In my dreams, it is rather furry than hairy. A fine Irish silky pelt.

Were they authentic or good copies? I got the latter for many years
at the original Filene's Basement in Boston and it was about impossible
to tell the difference.

As far as I know they were the real deal that I bought from a
mainstream store, not some basement operation. I was certainly
stunned to discover how expensive they'd become over the years.

Sometimes, if an illegal factory is discovered but is producing
good-enough copies of a designer item, they cut a deal and
the factory is switched over to manufacturing authentic product.
This saves on capital investment. The industry has a phrase
for it, something like "passive capacity expansion".

i bought a coach bag for my then-girlfriend some thirty years ago. i
thought it was a fair chunk of money (maybe a hundred bucks or so),
but man, she loved it.

You got me. But after all, the only thing left after you take away the money
and the breeding is that thin-skinned, irritable thing.
