Also I think it would cook faster if the heating coils were on the bottom. OP didn't say if it was new or used. Andy |

It's actually pretty easy to clean: the heat reflector, rotisserie, spitrods, and drip tray go in the dish washer; so does the front opening cover. Just wipe out what's left. Can't put the heating coils on the bottom without some additional engineering since juices fall to the bottom and could flare unless there's some sort of removal mechanism. $25 is a good price (we paid $160 for an earlier model 10 years ago) if you'll use it. If you won't use it, it's a bad deal regardless of the price. |

If you won't use it, it's a bad deal regardless of the price. I'm sure many here have things in our cabinets that were "good deals" that don't get used. We just cleaned out things and sold a bunch of stuff and got a couple hundred bucks on eBay. I had a bunch of copper mixing bowls that still had the price tags on them. The receipt was from 2001. I have no idea what inspired me to buy them. I had a Ronco rotisserie also. It was a gift and I used it a few times. The product is good and cleanup isn't too bad. The spun chicken product was very good. But it just wasn't worth the storage space. I got 20 bucks for it at a garage sale a few years ago and I've never missed it. Lou |
