Yesterday the mail man left a box. Oh good! The gift boxes I ordered from
Penzey's! Stocking stuffers, don'tcha know. I ordered the 8 jar bottles of salad seasonings and also 8 jars of Asian spices. Gonna mix them up in stockings for each of my brothers. I love the way Penzey's packs them with bay leaves, whole nutmegs and cinnamon sticks. It just screams out PRESENTS! (laugh) Other X-mas gifts include a butter bell for Paul; a wine presentation box fot Scott. An embroidered chef's coat for Scott, who has been taking 'lessons' with a local chef. A fajita maker for Scott and a quesadilla baker for Paul. My parents are hard to buy for. I'm giving my Dad a $100 bill in a wooden money puzzle box. You want the money, you gotta work for it (so he always says!). Should be fun to see him try to get the money out! Mom is getting a serenity snow globe with a Winter scene. Loved it so much I had to get one for myself! Sound includes whispering wind and the call of loons... Got a nice train-related gold pocket watch on an eBay auction for Ray last night. He collects old model trains and says he'll set one up under the Christmas tree if I put up a tree. Haven't put up a tree in 10 years. He likes trains but refuses to ride on one. Heh. Jill |
