The lingering odor is bad enough, but a lot of folks don't realize that grease vapor can be carried throughout the house and particularly in the kitchen and areas closest to it. It settles on everything. It's a bitch to clean off. And don't anyone try to tell me that an adequate ventilation system will totally eliminate that.
