They have them at Costco so I was able to actually get a good look at
one. If you lived in a tiny apartment and didn't own a blender, food
processor, stick blender, or juicer, then it might be a nice small space
saving tool that could do a decent job filling in for those other tools,
but since I own a house and already have those tools and more I saw no
real appeal.

Could be a neat tool for camping/RV use, or possible for a breakroom at
work given the small size. For me though, when I see terms like "Cyclonic
Cutting Zone®", I tend to think "cheap gimmic junk."

guess where that 'magic bullet' is now? It can still be found in its
original box, unopened and unused. It was a thoughtful gift, but it
will probably get regifted at some point in the future years.

Despite all the nay-sayers, we have one and use it frequently.
Primarily for smoothies and shake-like things, true, but it's so damned
convenient for that, I don't feel it's wasted.
We also have a Vita-Mix, which will indeed do a far better job handling
ice cubes and larger quantities, but a lot always gets left behind, to
be cleaned up. With the Bullet, I can toss in some fruit, crushed ice
from the fridge, yogurt or ice cream, blend for 30 seconds, and I'm done.
The blade head cleans up with warm water in seconds, and the set we have
comes with colored plastic rings that cover the thread on the "jar", so
it's easy and neat to serve directly.
Lately, I've been putting in an inch and a half of crushed ice, enough
Margarita mix to a bit above the ice, and a couple scoops of vanilla ice
cream. Instant lime smoothie...

Same here. My wife tends to buy more bananans than we'll go
through before they go bad, so, when any leftover bananas
get to that perfectly ripe point, and we don't want to eat
them right then, we peel them, wrap them in plastic wrap,
and put them in the freezer.

When strawberries or blueberries are on a really good sale,
we stock up and freeze them, too.

Then, for a smoothie, take frozen fruit, milk, and just a
couple tablespoons of ice cream, run it through the Magic
Bullet. It seems less prone to get that "air pocket around the
blades, blending stops" problem than our regular blender.

It does have kind of a "cheap and flimsy" look to it, so I'm
not sure how long it will hold up. But we've had it for about
a year now, and it's still going strong.

Well I just bought one, and so far I like it. It may go in the
cabinets soon, but it does do smoothies pretty well.

I bought frozen straw, blue and raspberries. I also have canned
pineapple. I had also bought some pecans and walnuts just to have to
snack on.

I took 4 strawberries, 2 slices of pineapple, a small handful of
walnuts, a dash of Splenda and topped it off with 2% milk. It was
great, especially for someone that doesn't do fruit.

Today, I made the same one, but instead of using strawberries, I used
blueberries. It was good, but the strawberry was better.

I plan to get some tofu and yogurt to try, but I think 2% milk is
fine.

At least it is a start in the right direction.

One thing I don't like is the size. I used is the large portion
glass. It comes with 6 small and 2 large glasses. The dishwasher
takes at least a week to fill up around here. I wish it came with 6
large glasses and no small ones. I see no use for the small ones yet.
I guess if you are trying appetizers it may be large enough. I don't
really have any appetizers I care to try except maybe salsa, but I
would probably want a large portion of it.
