do people ever run the opener just for the hell of it and then laugh
in the cat's face?

I'd say all five of them have my number. Our smallest cat is the one they
send to tell me when it's time to feed them. He's pretty accurate, too, as
to the usual time.

I don't have an electric can opener, and the catfood we give them has a
ring pull on the lid. However, if I haven't already been "summoned" to
feed them, as soon as they hear *their* bowls being taken out of the
drawer, I'm surrounded, with all but one of them meowing. Bailey is the
strong silent type. He only speaks to me when he was a treat. :-)

I think it's a fabulous price for 4 Gigs. I'll check my Best Buy (and
Target) to see if that deal is out here too. Thanks for the heads up.

There is also a version or two for 32-bit Windows available - I saw a couple
of .exes on that same download page, so, if you've got a few minutes
to 'fiddle', why not give it a whirl?

you want to learn the difference between MB and GB. Every GB is 1000
MB. 1000 Megabyte... is 1 Gigabyte.

Of course, that wouldn't mean I'd know what is needed to save,
e.g., a song.

Yeah, I didn't notice it said 4MB. The standard size for starter
drives is 4GB.

If it is truly 4MB it may be good for photos, but for music it is
pretty useless.

The 4G ones are usually 15-20 bucks for a good deal.

I meant to type 4 GB thumb drives. And I put ALL my collected pictures
on one and still have room left. I'd say it was a pretty good size and
would hold some music

SanDisk Cruzer 8 GB drives were recently on sale at Post Office Shops
here in Oz for under AUD50 each. Although their SysReqs say they need
Win XP or Vista to work as specified, in fact they will work okay with
Win ME for simple file storage. (On my system the drive shows up as
two "drives" -- one works as a normal thumb drive as far as I can see;
the other is a U3 system drive. I suspect it's the latter type that
requires XP/Vista.)

Cheers, Phred.
