Default Scratched my new Nonstick Pan

It's a light scratch, I made quesadillas and (duhhh) cut them with as pizza
cutter in the pan. I must have been thinking, "old pan."

It's a big relief. They're so pretty, I've been half afraid to use them.

No biggie. Best to train yourself not to do that, THEN buy
a couple of Le Creuset pieces. You'll be happier.

Was I supposed to leave my Le Creuset out for a decoration?
I didn't know. I keep it in a cabinet and only take it out to cook.

My mistake was asking for Calphalon when we got married, because that
was supposed to be the best the department store where we were registerd
offered. Sure, it will last forever, but man, I want something easily
manipulated,
not a workout.

Right. If heaviness is an issue than Le Creuset (or plain cast iron,
or the heavier Calphalon/stainless) are not for you.

Decorative cookware? Le Creuset? You're kidding, right? I use mine a
couple of times a week (at least).

So you don't mind heavy pots and pans? It's not that I am not strong enough
to heave them around, I just don't *want* to.

I actually do leave my large blue Dutch oven on the back burner out of
the way because not only is it gorgeous (and cheers me to see it) but it
saves me brute strength needed to haul it around. I move it out of the
way when necessary but otherwise it sit.

Nice, and I like your stovetop! On another note, I really miss gas cooking.
I used to do cake decorating and since buying my house I have almost stopped
because I just can't bake in an electric oven. Anyone have luck doing this?
Maybe my oven is just too old and not working properly. Took long enough to
get used to a heat pump and electric heat.

How cool is that?!! I want one! I want to keep my ugly old pans underneath
and my new pans out where they are easy to get to and will not get banged
up.

Thanks
I always preferred gas ranges with electric ovens (Dual Fuel, I believe
they're called) but this gas oven has worked very nicely for me. I have
no complaints with it. It isn't even a pricey model-just one of the
ones Consumers Report listed as good years ago.

Oh, it is beautiful. They have a blue color out now that I'm
irrisistably drawn to. I saw it at Sur la Table. I covet it, but it
would have to be something I would use. My pots are not
decorations.

The almost aquamarine color? I saw that too.

Most of ours (all but one) are the traditional straight blue.
One is flaming orange.

Oh absolutely! Mine are working tools...with the added benefit of this
one just being so darn pretty too!
That is my only piece of LC, and I have one large cast iron skillet, but
the rest of my saucepans (7) are things we purchased in Germany, and
Revere Ware I've had since I Jesus was a private and I've never had any
complaints with and an assortment of frying pans and skillets I've
purchased as the need or desire hit me. Of course I also own a couple of
hugeass pasta and soup pots.

Yeah, that. I wouldn't mind having an oval roaster, and
this color might make me go for it.

Nice. I only have one piece, a hunter green dutch oven.
Bought it specially to make osso bucco (sp). Wondered why
I didn't buy it sooner.

I've got an old one by Vincent Price with a beautiful cover that he
and his wife wrote about their travels through europe including
recipes. I rotate coffee table books and it takes it's turn there
once in awhile. I'll bet you'd love that one. I only paid a buck or
two for it.

Of course! I will *only* use electric.

Most likely reason.
