A variation of Basil Lemonade
Lemon Basil Syrup 1 cup torn basil leaves 3/4 c sugar Rind and juice of one lemon Boil all ingrediants to melt the sugar. Cool and strain. cup lemon basil syrup* 3/4 cup vodka 3/4 cup fresh lemon juice 1/2 cup sparkling water 1 cup ice cubes Fresh basil sprigs, for garnish Stir together all ingredients in a pitcher until cold, then strain into 8-ounce glasses half filled with ice. |
