Default Opinel knives

I know there are some knife enthusiasts here. What do you think about
Opinel folding knives? I've just recently heard of them, and am
intrigued. Think I might order a couple off of eBay.

If I get one for DD to take to college with her for her dorm room,
should I get get her a high-carbon or "Inox"? (I'm getting a carbon
OP-8 for myself.) I assume she'll never sharpen it, and don't know
which will hold an edge longer.

I've got one I've been carrying around in my book bag for years. They are
sturdy and do the job. I don't whittle or anything, just cut apples and
cheese and whatever food I need a paring knife for. Make sure you clean
thoroughly as they have a wood handle and carbon steel blade (tarnishes).
Great knife for the price.

Adequate cheap pocket knives. I have a ton scattered about. Nice in
fishing kit, camping equipment etc. Not a cooking knife really. if you
want a cheap cooking knife then I'd say get a Joyce Chen knife.
