Default Joe's Special

What do you use in your Joe's Special and how do you make it? I brown
ground meat and chopped onions, cook mushrooms separately, add spinach
(usually frozen), add mushrooms and then bind all together with beaten
eggs. It is one of my favs and couldn't be easier.
Thanks,
Ellie

I leave out the egg but include a generous amount of
Worcestershire sauce.

I pretty much do the recipe that Wayne posted here a while back, but the
last couple of times I didn't have any beef so I used sausage. Because
the sausage has more flavor than ground beef, I've left out the oregano
(I think it was oregano) that that recipe calls for. I don't use
mushrooms, but that sounds good and I might if I had some on hand.

hmmm Joe's special animal style!

(i.e., animal style in-out burger, no bun)

Original Joe's restaurant in San Francisco or San Jose came up with
the recipe. It's well-known on the west coast. It's good. Joe's
restaurants have good Italian and American food and they serve their
red wine in water glasses!
