Oh, you'll like grass fed beef.

We went to the farmers market this afternoon. I have white peaches,
apples, green beans, corn, ground beef and lamb chops. Everything is
from an area about 25 miles from the house.

Heading for the deck with a glass of wine to snap beans and shuck
corn. Will then see if we like grass fed beef.

You will like the grass fed beef, lots leaner than feed lot beef. I was
raised in East Texas and the only cows that got feed were milk cows, the
beef stock had to rustle their own grub.

I've got several lbs of grass fed cow critter hamburger in the freezer.
Friend of mine leaves his infertile breeding stock on pasture for six
months and then butchers them. No corn or otherwise, that's saved for
calves that are headed for market.

I hit the farmers' market Sunday: heirloom tomatoes, cantaloupe, and
what the folks around here call an "Israel" melon.

Best not to overcook it.

I have long maintained that Texans are not easy to love: we are, like anchovies, an acquired taste.

Everything was good. We made patties from the ground beef. I ate
mine plain to judge the taste. Don't overcook is correct. This one
was not too dry, but a touch rarer would be nice. I must remind DH.
