Default Cheddar cheese

Just had an 'after dinner snack'. Mature cheddar cheese on crackers.

What's so special about that, you may ask? Well, lemme tell ya. This
particular cheddar is produced locally (and when I say locally, I mean on a
farm less than 10km from where we live). Dad decided to buy some to try the
other day as he thought it looked good and was very reasonably priced...

Heh. It's the best mature cheddar I've tasted in many a year - nice and
sharp - and to think that all this time I've been paying a fortune for
imported cheddar...

There is a saying around here, 'Local is lekker[1]'. I should remind myself
of that fact more often.

[1] lekker = nice, good, great (or 'yummy' in this instance)

I can relate, Cathy. I'm so in the mood for some good cheddar on crackers
and watch a decent movie. Dang it. That's what I want and I have no way to
get the cheese and crackers. Grrrr. You had to put this in my head, didn't
you? :-P

Thanks, love. :~)

Think global, buy local

Yeah, well...

Day before yesterday I was privileged to witness my JRT, Cooper,
capturing and consuming a bunny. This was accomplished on the fly, with
Zane (BC), all bug-eyed in hot pursuit. Cooper, unwilling to relinquish
or share his prize, just kept running and chomping and down it went,
thankfully *after* the damned thing quit screaming.

Talk about fast food eaten on the run. Cooper normally gets 1/4 cup
kibble plus veggies for supper but that evening he got half that and a
few greenbeans, due to his afternoon bunny bing.

Cooper sez, "Think globally, eat locally".

I cannot go with out saying something to Lucas. You Cur are a blot on
humanity. You cannot comprehend that this group is about a little bit
of fun & light relief. You are a humourless, bigoted, overbearing,
idiotic, egotistical, know all, know nothing oaf. Whilst I laughed
along with everyone else, I laughed *AT* you. Whilst you like to think
you are better than most, you are just a piece of dog shit beneath the
shoes, of everyone else in this group. You took it on yourself to
compartmentalize people..who made you God, so that you had insight
into the lives of those that participate in this group?...beige
indeed, those you labelled so, have had extremely interesting
lives.....You would be very surprised to know just who some of the
people in this group are...& what they have achieved in their lives.
You, a mere Nightclub bouncer, have nothing to crow about. You would
do yourself a great service if you learned to read posts properly &
try to comprehend what people *ARE* saying, before jumping in, with
what you *THINK* they are saying. You like to denigrate people, whilst
you yourself are a degenerate. You like to speak ill of those older
than you, whilst not realising, that at 45 you are some 17-15 years
older than the median age of this group.......that makes you old to
them....think about it old boy......I am only 8 years older than
you.......you are at least 15 years older than most of them. So your
ageist comments, can be turned against you. Then there is you over use
of foul language..contrary to what you think I am not a wowser,
however I do believe in a modicum of decorum. Profanity is ok by me,
in some instances, but you use profanity as a prop for your lack of
verbal skills. Hell you are so far up yourself, you think some of us
have homosexual fantasies about you.......you couldn't even see that
your chain was being yanked. (bad choice of words there, but they will
do) Your degeneration of people based on their physical appearance is
extremely vulgar, & shows what an ill mannered oaf you are. You are a
small minded person, who lives in a small minded world...can't even be
original, have to get your, so called, knowledge via Google, & the old
cut & paste trick, & your gung ho bragging just makes you look the
fool you are. You are (excuse me Ladies) a ****wit of the 1st degree.

It's dutch for "good", as in "Lekker ween" ("Good wine").

I'm guessing you're a TPB fan. You might be interested in knowingthat the
son of our neighbour, Jake, has a recurring role in the show...he is,
strangely enough, Jake, alternately the high school student or the
convenience store clerk, and he apparently has a plot of his own in the
current season (which I have not seen yet). Something about who his father
is.

That is correct Vilco, but it should be "lekkere wijn". And it means good or
tasty.

Definitely
The above two lines mean "Never watch TPB wothout some drinks at hand"

Is it season 7, by any chance? I've seen just the first 6 seasons.

Yes, I knew that ;-)

Exactly that one.

Actually, I've lost track. I buy the DVD sets when they comes out. I see
Jake's name in an episode of season 7, so that could be it.
