Orlando, my friend, who the hell are you? You make entirely too much
sense for this group. Serious.

Lunch is on me if you ever get to the Twin Cities.

Seriously. I really like to read people's fix to problems. It's very
refreshing these days. We're all about "me me me" and to read his/her (I'm
guessing his) possible solutions, I have some hope for the world. Color me
cynical.

What I really like to read about is cooking.

Supper tonight was a roast chicken (vertical roaster, beer can variety
but none involved tonight), smashed new potatoes, coleslaw from scratch,
and green beans. I sprinkled a bunch of Penzeys BBQ 3000 seasoning on
it and was underwhelmed with it. I was going to put some cuke into the
slaw but I ate the cucumber while I was shredding the cabbage. Damn! I
love when that happens!

That's good because hope is the missing component in the lives of the
folks who have given up. If you don't have a deep-inside sense of hope
about things being different it's easy to give up on life and just
exist.

I've known Amy since she was five. Her situation makes most of ours
look like a cakewalk.

What are you doing to break the cycle of hopelessness for someone?

I have to start with me first. You really don't want to go there.

Hah, I do the same thing. I eat the dark meat, then I have white meat
leftover. I will use the white meat in chicken salad, lettuce wraps, or
I will make the Vietnamese soup, Pho Ga.

I am so sorry about your friend, Barb. :*( How awful.

Wishing tremendous strength for her husband and kids.
