There are over 2 billion Chinese in China. Do you think they don't
eat soy?

By law they are limited to one child per couple. Since they all want a
boy the abortion rate is really high.

That's 1.3 billion Chinese.

http://chinesefood.about.com/od/heal...erns/a/soy.htm
.. . . the real problem is not whether soy is inherently bad (after all,
people have been consuming plants with hormones for centuries) but that
no one is sure how much soy it is safe to consume. While Asians have
been consuming soy for centuries, there have been conflicting claims
about how much soy they consume. Nonetheless, if soy starts turning up
in everything from cereal to ice cream, we may begin consuming far
higher amounts than is normally found in the Asian diet, without any
real idea of the consequences. An related issue is that modern
preparation methods for soy products may increase the health risks. For
example, some companies use chemical hydrolization instead of
traditional fermentation methods to make soy sauce. It's something to
think about.

And then there was the recent finding of a link between tofu
consumption and dementia. Interestingly, that doesn't hold true
for tempeh.

I am very glad I didn't hop onto the soy bandwagon. I did drink
some soy milk, and I do like tofu though.

My understanding is that it is used as a condiment a meal in Asia, not
the principal course. As the extract that I posted mentioned, it is the
sheer quantity of soy products (tofu) that are being offered for sale
that is the concern. Personally, I intend to continue using soy sauce
and occasionally eat other soy products. I haven't looked into this very
much but there seem to be multiple concerns from mimicking female
hormones to causing thyroid problems.

If you're trying to be humorous or incisive, then you're doing fine at
embarrassing yourself. But your not that self conscious are you?

n. Slang
A companion or associate, especially an older friend who acts as a
patron, protector, or adviser.

(Noun) A person that is a close friend and will have your back no matter
what the situation.

You seem to be on a roll "cybercat". What are we to think if you ever
have something important to say? Or is that not a problem?

hahahaha! ;o)

I went to the Lizzy Borden School of Hairsplitting.

*boggle*

How do you carry a chip that size, asswipe? Making the distinction of
whether the people were IN China or just born in China was a petty,
pointless detail. Hence you were "splitting hairs."

And now you're firmly allied with Greg Morrow the swishy moron. You must be

Maybe it's a poor mans vasectomy or Catholic birth control.
